Welcome to Tega Samoyeds
Tega Samoyeds, established by Terry and Gail Campbell, began with a loving Samoyed male that was our friend and companion. This dog then paved the way to what was to become a uniquely successful lifetime involvement in the showing and breeding of this beautiful breed. We have been highly successful with each dog that we purchased in the early years - leading each dog to its AKC championship owner-handled.

Gail Campbell and American/International
Champion Tega's Joe Knows, TT, HIC. Joe is a mulitiple AKC Best In Show
winner and a multiple AKC Best in Specialty Show winner. |
Establishing the California-based "Tega Samoyeds" was a well-thought out process for us. In our very first litter, three lovely champions were produced. And since that time, we have gone on to produce 20 champions, as well as providing loving family companions for Samoyeds lovers around the country.
Our most famous winner, and also the father of many champion Samoyeds, is our beloved Am/Intl Ch. Tega's Joe Knows TT, HIC. Not only is "Joe" the top winning #1 Samoyed and one of the Top Ten Working dogs in the United States in 1994 and 1995, he achieved his outstanding show record handled by his breeder and owner, Gail Campbell. To have such a top winning dog handled by his breeder and owner is a rare occurence in the sport of AKC dog shows, which is made up mostly of professionally-handled dogs. The TT following Joe's name shows that he is Temperament Test certified by the American Temperament Test Society and the HIC following his name means that Joe passed the Herding Instinct Certification Test. Most importantly, however, is that Joe is our wonderful family pet first, and our famous show dog second.
W e are members of the Samoyed Club of America, The Barbary Coast Samoyed Club, Northern California Samoyed Fanciers, The Samoyed Club of San Diego and The Samoyed Association of Canada.
We are also the authors of the book entitled "A New Owner's Guide to Samoyeds", by Terry and Gail Campbell, published by TFH Publications in 1998. The book is available at pet stores, mail order pet supply catalogs and on-line at barnesandnoble.com. We also provide a copy of this book at no charge with each Tega Samoyed puppy placed in a loving home.
